MITH, a dance battle that began as a bi-monthly event at the Art Institute of Indianapolis, has evolved into a yearly extravaganza that welcomes dancers from all corners of the globe to unite and showcase their talents. Our event boasts a live DJ, esteemed judges hailing from Chicago and Fort Wayne, and this year, we’re channeling the energy of the late 70s dance style known as popping. Immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of The Artsgarden, nestled in the heart of Indianapolis, where you’ll be treated to an unforgettable experience filled with 80s music and electrifying performances. This event has always been free to everyone.
This year, we are featuring the legendary OGs of chicago, representing the Internationally known Robot Mafia Dance Crew. We have Tea-bugz, Poppin Chuck, and Kobruh. They will also share a Robot Mafia Showcase performance which you will not want to miss. Our forth judge is Sockie, from Fort Wayne, Indiana. Sockie has been a pillar of the Indiana dance community since before 2012 and has push the style of popping all across the midwest.
The amazing thing about this event is, its a dance competition. So there is no way of knowing who will show up to compete before hand. Anyone could be this years champion. Could it be you? Or would you rather come to watch. Either way, we would love to see you there.
