All Styles Dance battle: What to expect
Welcome to the All Styles dance battle! We embrace every dance genre, if you can move to it, you can compete. However, our DJs will primarily spin tracks that align with street dance culture, including hip-hop, funk and house.
Three expert judges will evaluate the battles and decide who advances through each round and ultimately, who takes home the victory.
Run order of the event
- Preliminaries
- Each dancer will have 45 seconds to showcase their skills to the judges. To add an element of surprise, competitors will not know which song they will be performing to. This will test their ability to adapt quickly under pressure. The dancers will then be ranked and placed in a top 16 battle bracket, where the top-scoring dancers will compete against the lowest-scoring ones. The scores from each judge will be out of 10 points, so a perfect score of 30 points guarantees a spot in the next round.

- Top 16 brackets
- You will be paired up with another dancer. Both dancers get the same song. Once each dancer dances thei 45 seconds, the judges will pick 1 dancer to proceed to the to top 8.
- Top 8 brackets
- Same as top 16, winner makes it to the top 4
- Top 4 brackets
- Same as top 8, but it’s 2 rounds, winner proceeds to the finals.
- Finals
- Same as top 4, but 3 rounds. Winner takes hope the cash prize of $100, maybe more.
